National Push for Innovation in Education

In our coverage of teaching innovation, I neglected to point out one of the key sources of cheerleading on this topic:  the White House. Promoting innovation in schools is a major focus of the Obama administration.  To promote the need for innovation in schools, the White House as developed a program called Educate to Innovate. At this point, it is simply a position statement and a few links.  These links are to either some competitions or non-governmental entities that are trying to draw attention to the needs of increase innovation in schools.

This program is associated with the Change the Equation program.  Have you heard much about this program either?
